Jmanga is the nearest thing to a major Crunchyroll-type site (several Japanese publishers collaborated on it, and it actually has some of the same people working on it) but it's made as many mistakes as it has successes. I also have to say: while I can definitely appreciate the hard work and the appeal of scanlating untranslated series, I've also seen a ton of "scanlations" that are just scans of translated manga by Viz, Tokyopop and other US companies. That sort of thing is just lame.
